QBC 2016 – State Of The Mets

Another year, another baseball convention. The Queens Baseball Convention that is.

sotm PANEL

The MetsPolice crew have once again pulled together to create a gathering of Mets fans from all over the city, state and beyond.  If you have never been, you really owe it to yourself to make it.  From my own personal experience, it is wall-to-wall Mets baseball.  When you think about it, on any day of the year, that’d be a great way to spend a day, but in the middle of January?  Sign me up!

Well, in a way, that’s what I’ve done.  For the second straight year, I’ll be moderating the “State Of The Mets” panel, made up of a diverse group of folks who cover the Mets:

Adam Rubin, ESPN-NY

Jared Diamond, Wall Street Journal

Pete McCarthy, WOR 710

Jesse Spector, The Sporting News

Matt Cerrone, SNY

Jerry Beach, The Sports Xchange

Each brings their own perspective, and we’ll discuss the Mets offseason — or lack thereof, as some believe — and try to predict what the 2016 season will perhaps hold.

I’ll be around all day, and am hosting The “What Is A Mets Fan?” panel later on in the schedule.

Other highlights include:

Bobby Valentine
Tim Teufel
Buddy Harrelson

The Gil Hodges Unforgettable Fire Award presentation (to Buddy, with Josh Lewin taking part)

The annual Uni Watch Panel
