The MLB4 collegiate baseball tournament will be held this weekend at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, Ariz., the shared Spring Training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies, from Thursday, Feb. 14 through Sunday, Feb. 17.
MLB4 is a collegiate baseball showcase event featuring some of the best programs in the nation, including the Vanderbilt University Commodores (Vanderbilt), University of Virginia Cavaliers (Virginia), Texas Christian University Horned Frogs (TCU), and California State University, Fullerton Titans (Cal State Fullerton). MLB Network & MLB.com will air the contest between Vanderbilt and Virginia on Friday, Feb. 15, LIVE at 7:00 p.m. ET.
The game will be called with play-by-play from Stephen Nelson and analysis from MLB Network Studio Analyst & former Colorado Rockies General Manager (1999-2014) Dan O’Dowd and Senior Reporter for MLB Pipeline Jim Callis. Major League Baseball is celebrating College Baseball’s traditional opening weekend with MLB4 and the “Andre Dawson Classic,” an HBCU-focused tournament at the New Orleans MLB Youth Academy.
