Alonso Among FameDays Hologram E-Greeters

Pete Alonso (.827 OPS) and the Mets (7-3, first place) are off to solid starts. With the “Polar Bear’s” popularity ranking among the highest in N.Y. baseball these days, he’s the ideal local player to help launch FameDays, a new hologram greeting platform which features celebrities from the sports world like Ric Flair, Von Miller, former Yankee Johnny Damon, all the way to pro cornhole star Matt Guy.

Gotham Baseball talked to Alen Paul Silverrstieen, CEO & President of Imagine AR, the company behind FameDays, about the launch.

Gotham Baseball: Fans can now meet and get a photo with Pete Alonso in the Metaverse. How?

Alen Paul: Pete Alonso is stepping into the Metaverse along with many other sports and entertainment superstars via the FameDays app. Mets fans can get a photograph or video with a hologram version of Pete at the touch of a button without leaving the comfort of their home.

GB: Tell us a little more about FameDays.

AP: FameDays is a metaverse hologram e-greeting platform. We use augmented reality to place a life-size hologram anywhere in the world to deliver a video message. Fans can then take a photo or record a video with the virtual version of their favorite star as if they are standing right next to them in real life, then instantly share the content on social media.

GB: What other celebrities are available for greetings on FameDays?

AP: In addition to Alonso, we also have virtual greetings available from Hall of Famer David Ortiz, Johnny Damon, Kyle Tucker of the Houston Astros, Super Bowl Champion Von Miller, Two-Time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, current WBC and The Ring World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury, wrestling superstar Adam Sherr (FKA Braun Strowman) and many more.

GB: What types of greetings are available on FameDays and where can fans get theirs?

AP: Greetings will be available for a variety of occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, gender reveals and much more. Fans can get these messages from life-size holograms of their favorite athlete or celebrity at an affordable price (most $20 or under). Fans can get their greeting and take a photo or video with their favorite celebrity using the FameDays app, which you can download in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
