About

Gotham Baseball was founded and first published in 2005 by Gotham Sports Media LLC.

Its mission is to fully cover the past, present and future of the New York game.

Gotham Baseball, first recognized by Amazon.com as one of the Top 10 New magazines of 2005 (and the only sports magazine on the list), reports the latest news, photos and features on the New York game, from the big leagues, the minor leagues and independent leagues, from the Old Time game to the college game. Published as a print product from 2005-2008, it’s entire run was selected and is now part of the permanent archive at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s A. Bartlett Giamatti Research Center in Cooperstown, NY.

“We believe (Gotham Baseball) … would be a valuable addition to our library collection.”
– James L. Gates, Librarian, National Baseball Hall of Fame and Musuem

In an effort to provide a more visually appealing destination to its ever-increasingweb traffic, Gotham Baseball has re-launched its online entity, gothambaseball.com to fully capture its growing audience.

In 2011, the magazine will renew its commitment to fully cover New York baseball’s past, present and future by teaming with JML Media to create a brand new digital magazine experience.

“Gotham Baseball has already established itself as a legitimate sports media organization,” said Mark Healey, owner and Founding Editor of Gotham Baseball.  “”Technology is fundamentally changing the media, and our readership has been ready for this for a long time.”
