Mike Gipson got the start for the Yankees and he tossed three shutout innings allowing a hit and striking out three of the ten batters he faced.  Staten Island’s only base hit came off of the bat of right fielder Kelvin De Leon in the bottom of the second inning.

The Baby Bombers will be leaving for a six-game road trip in Jamestown and Vermont before coming home on July 20 to face off against the Hudson Valley Renegades.
